The Romantic artist transmits emotions in a vibrant, intense and passionate manner, in idealized situations. And the seascapes of Turner are astounding examples of the Romanticism, since passions and ideals are exalted not through persons but through landscapes.
Turner did not show men in the forefront, but talked about men. And portrayed men as fragile, insignificant before the majesty and the infinite power of nature.
