The First Series of Monet

Six Paintings. One Concept

Monet was obsessed with capturing the impression, the moment, the way in which our eye briefly perceives things thanks to light and atmospheric conditions. So he had the great idea of making series representing the same things at different times of the day, to show the diverse effects. The first of all his series is the paintings of Gare Saint-Lazare.
