Lautrec’s Legacy
Six Paintings. One Concept
We could make this publication thanks to small donations. How is 3 minutos de arte supported?
One of the most fascinating characteristics of Lautrec’s work is his mode of achieving a set of gestures, an expression of the human figure by not painting them realistically, but distorting them.
This exaggeration and deformation of features would be a crucial tool for modernity in which the faithful imitation of things would be set aside, and Expressionism would prevail.
