Mucha was the Czech illustrator and painter whose posters of theatre shows became so famous that he turned into the emblematic artist of Art Nouveau in painting. His female figures —full of grace and sensuality, among flowers, jewels and exuberant ornaments— defined a style in such a way that many times the "Mucha style" is used when referring to Art Nouveau.
